The annealing temperature for these Alloy Steel T11 Seamless Tubes is 1066 Degree C (1950 Degree F), and water quenching is advised (rapid air cooling is feasible with thinner structures). For example, the recommended start temperature for hot forging in our Alloy Steel T11 Welded Tubes is 1232 Degree C (2250 Degree F) and the recommended finish temperature is 982 Degree C (1800 Degree F). A hold time at the annealing temperature of 10 minutes to 30 minutes is recommended for these Alloy Steel T11 EFW Tubes; depending on the thickness of the structure (thicker structures need the full 30 minutes). Following all hot forming operations, our Alloy Steel T11 ERW Tubes should be re – annealed, to restore optimum properties. Whereas these Alloy Steel T11 Round Tubes suffers from the rapid formation at around 750 Degree C, it takes several hours (at around 650 Degree C) to induce deleterious second phases in this alloy. This is due to the judicious use of minor elements in our Alloy Steel T11 Square Tubes and also a shift in the molybdenum content, to induce the slowly – forming instead. The most deleterious of certain alternate phases in these Alloy Steel T11 Rectangular Tubes, forms quickly at certain temperatures, affects ductility, and reduces resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
