Our Hastelloy B2 Hexagonal Wire Mesh should not be used in oxidizing media or where oxidizing contaminants are available in reducing media. Premature failure may occur if this Hastelloy B2 Welding Wire Mesh is used where iron or copper is present in a system containing hydrochloric acid. Wrought forms of our Hastelloy B2 Netting Wire Mesh are furnished in the solution heat – treated condition unless otherwise specified. This Hastelloy B2 Woven Wire Mesh, except for bright annealed sheet and strip, is solution heat – treated at 1950 Degree F (1066 Degree C) and rapid quenched. Bright annealed products such as our Hastelloy B2 Spring Steel Wire Mesh are heat – treated at 2100 Degree F (1149 Degree C) and cooled in hydrogen. Because Hastelloy B2 Fencing Wire Mesh contains no significant chromium addition, it should NOT be used in oxidizing media or in presence of oxidizing salts, such as ferric or cupric salts. Our Alloy B2 Wire Mesh may form when iron or copper is present in a system containing hydrochloric acid. Likewise, this Alloy B2 Hexagonal Wire Mesh does not withstand wet chlorine gas or hypochlorite bleach. In oxidizing gases such as air, our Alloy B2 Welding Wire Mesh may be used at temperatures up to 1000 Degree F (538 Degree C).
