Nickel 200 Seamless Tubes (UNS N02200) is normally limited to service at temperatures below 600 Degree F. At higher temperatures, Nickel 200 Welded Tubes can suffer from graphitization which can result in severely compromised properties. All hot working and cold working practices can be utilized when shaping Nickel 200 ERW Tubes. Hot working temperatures of Nickel 200 ERW Tubes should be between 1200 Degree F and 2250 Degree F with heavy forming to be performed at temperatures above 1600 Degree F. Annealing in Nickel 200 Round Tubes should be performed at a temperature between 1300 Degree F and 1600 Degree F. Care should be taken when choosing the anneal temperature and time at temperature in Nickel 200 Square Tubes for this can greatly influence the mechanical properties and structure of the material. When operating temperatures are expected to exceed 600 Degree F, carbon content in Nickel 200 Rectangular Tubes becomes critical. The lower carbon content of Nickel 200 Electropolish Tubes makes the material resistant to graphitization and therefore less subject to embrittlement. Nickel 200 Instrumentation Tubes are approved for construction of pressure vessels and components under ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code Section VIII, Division 1.
