Stainless Steel 317L Bolt/Nut

A current is passed through the electrode of Stainless Steel 317L Hex Head Bolts and the temperature increases to a point where the scrap and alloys melt. When specifying, Stainless Steel 317L Hex Head Nuts can be used but it is important to also list the specific Unified Numbering System (UNS) designation for the specific alloy, which identifies the specific chemistry that is desired. Within the ASTM standards and industry association and company literature, Stainless Steel 317L Square Bolts are identified by UNS number and, where one exists, the common name. Stainless Steel 317L Square Nuts from the electric furnace is then transferred into an Argon Oxygen De – carburization vessel, where the carbon levels are reduced and the final alloy additions are made to achieve the exact chemistry. Stainless Steel 317L Eye Bolts receive a final annealing (a heat treatment that softens the structure) and pickling (an acid wash that removes the furnace scale from annealing and helps promote the passive surface film that naturally occurs). Stainless Steel 317L Eye Nuts exhibit excellent corrosion resistance and molybdenum is added to some grades for additional resistance to chlorides. In Stainless Steel 317L U-Bolts, nitrogen maybe added to improve strength and corrosion resistance.
