Hastelloy B3 Compression Fittings (UNS N10675) is a nickel – molybdenum alloy with excellent resistance to pitting, corrosion, and stress-corrosion cracking plus, thermal stability superior to that of alloy B-2. Hastelloy B3 Tube Fittings has been primarily used for their resistance to corrosion in non – oxidizing environments such as HCl. Hastelloy B3 Ferrule Fittings also withstands sulfuric, acetic, formic and phosphoric acids, and other non-oxidizing media. Hastelloy B3 Double Ferrule Fittings can function under very high temperatures and severe mechanical stress, and also where high surface stability is required. Meanwhile, these Hastelloy B3 Union Fittings are also being offered in customized sizes and shapes to our customers. Early testing of Alloy B3 Compression Tube Fittings was focused on material in the annealed and age – hardened condition where the material was annealed at 1975 Degree F (1079 Degree C) and age – hardened at 1300 Degree F (704 Degree C) and Furnace cool (FC) to 1125 Degree F (607 Degree C). For this reason, a considerable development effort has been generated on Alloy B3 Union Tube Fittings in three other “very high strength” conditions. In this “standard condition”, Alloy B3 Compression Fittings will typically have strengths around 100 ksi (690 MPa).
