These Nickel 201 Compression Fittings provides high thermal and electrical conductivity in comparison to nickel – base alloys, stainless and low alloy steels. Our Nickel 201 Union Fittings is not recommended for service above 600 Degree F (316 Degree C) because long – time exposures in the 800 Degree F to 1200 Degree F range result in precipitation of a carbon containing phase and loss of ductility. These Nickel 201 Ferrule Fittings is a modification of Nickel 200 to control carbon which keeps it from being embrittled by inter – granular precipitates at temperatures of 600 Degree F to 1400 Degree F in many processes. Our Nickel 201 Double Ferrule Fittings also has a high Curie temperature and good magnetostrictive properties. These annealed Alloy 201 Tube Fittings has a low hardness and good ductility and malleability. These attributes, combined with good weldability, make our Alloy 201 Compression Fittings highly fabricable. These Alloy 201 Union Tube Fittings has a relatively low work – hardening rate, but it can be cold worked to moderately high strength levels while maintaining ductility.
